Fruitless Pursuits or Empty Wealth?

Again subdued by the ascendancy of familial sway...

Talk unremittingly veered betwixt avid yet insurmountable pursuits of wealth, adherence to convention, and the snug soothing glow of the norm. In fact; all that which is neither tangible nor visible to my sight. A summit not ever to be reached; each climb a fresh peak revealed, and the odyssey continued.

In truth, all an echo of sentiment I have known only too well, and thus a reflection it would seem as an adversary to my furtherance. Regardless of this, a revived desire to emancipate oneself from the shackles of greed. Which look to have so far enthralled the populace.

One doctrine; geared toward the aspiration to accrue ever larger reward. Each fleeting stage more bloated than the last; Consumption that never meets satisfaction. To gaze upon so outlandish a concept which would claim to divulge the route to happiness, a clarifying moment.

The other ideology; a more enterprising use of current means. An outwardly illicit life, least affected by the transient shifts of avarice. So in refusing to be browbeaten; even if merely for now, an equilibrium has been reinvigorated, to spite being marred by terse funds.

So although indeed not credited then, my mindset had in some small measure been reforged by these events. A renewed claim to make the most of what we have.

  1. I think I know what you're saying but my inner child can't understand all the long words. Blimey, there's a lot of them. :)
